Well let me try this again, Somethings have changed and I guess some are still the same. like yesterday I wrote a post and then added somepics and then the post was gone ????I know I am simply but what hell’s up with that? Oh well just another day in paradise      Haven’t gotten around to see many of you but maybe today maybe not .

Well I got a new windows 7 and have it and my xp both hooked up here in front of me on my desk ( yep like I really need all that you know computer smart I am ) anyway it has a 27 inch monitor. make my old 17 inch look real small , both they are both running at the moment windows 7 does not have outlook express so I had to sent up a new mail program thats one thing no body likes about windows 7 no mail program we all liked outlook , I thought about getting a new mac but no mac stores around here and no way am i driving into Houston if I can help I am close enought thank you.

The weather in getting hot and dry here but this has been one of the wettest July’s we have had , we have had a lot of rain and I was very thankful for that . sure don’t want the woods to get all hot and dry . damm Calif. is burning again poor people out there seems like they either get washed away by mud are burnt out , sometimes I wonder how they have anything left to burn.

Kids are all fine at the moment as no one is calling  right now thats a good sign , as I am the first to get the call for every little thing , heck didn’t ya know I am a onr granny wonder ! I was sitting here trying to count them all up now thats a big list Josh was here at the house and saw my kids-grands-greats list on the wall and he thought that was funny don’t laugh  boy I am now adding his new baby to that list . and hey I have become a new age grandma I have facebook ( to stay in touch with all those kids) I have a cell phone for texting , and two computers to keep up with all of them  I thinking of renaming myself to Jetson .

But they are all gone to Hawaii already so we didn’t get to be with them

Well I hope all you guys are making it thur all the nasty weather, we are comimg out of our deep freeze today , well yesterday was pretty nice as it got back up to 55 here and things started to de-ice    we made it thur with only one busted water line and thankfully is was outside and had a ground cut off so he was able to just turn it off and can fix it when its warmer out there. Hey I know it is a heck of alot colder where a lot of you live but for here !!!!!!!!! Well thats the coldest I have ever seen it get in all my life and thats a long time Friday it was 8 degees and Saturday it was 10 and that just doesn’t happen here where I live BUT it has happened now, besides that I live in a cold hole even in the spring my plants like my azaleas bloom two or three weeks behind everyone else’s outside of a mile to where I live.
my heating unit had a hard time keeping up and I had to turn the stove burners on on top of the stove to get the house to warm up  ”L” will flip out when we get the gas bill –TOO BAD-I am not freezing over a gas bill thank you very much as long as I have it I am going to use it same thing with cooling I have already did my time with doing without for kids and family and now if I have a time it’s here .

I was just sitting here thinking about my family and realized I really don’t see any of them that much anymore now that I am “The Great-Grandmother” not the grandmother anymore , I talked to them all the time e-mailing texting phone calls but I don’t see them much most of them live up between Waco and Dallas and I live just north of  Houston and thats a long drive for me , and by the time I get there I want to rest but all the kids are waiting and wanting to all get togather and go visit this one and that one which is all well and good “TOMORROW” but if I go then “J” is on the cell every two hours or so wanting to know where I am so I can not just get there and go to my hotel/motel and rest because she is waiting for me and she has all these plans she has already made and I am too just go along with them. sometimes I do and sometimes I don’t but I would not hurt her feelings for anything so mostly I just go along with her and pass out when I do finally get to my room. of course it is just as far for them but heck they are alot younger than than their Nana is and they all have children mostly young children and some or in school and some or not but it takes a lot of work to get them and everything they will need to make a trip a grandma’s house especially if you have a baby , and just in case you have never had a baby and took a trip let me tell you it is almost like moving   but I really am cool with not seeing them that much as I said we are always talking and stuff so it kinda like they are here, and I kinda like having all this time to do whatever I want to do. and as I am in my second childhood I can just play my video games or play on my computer or just sit and read a book without anyone wanting me for something. I have a Super Nintendo ( yeah it old but still works great ) a Wii a play station 2 and an xbox 360 and I play all of them , I am a” Raider” but I still love old Donkey Kong and I have a new one for my Wii ” Donkey Kong JungleBeat” its fun, of course I have the new Mario Bros too , and the Wii is hard to play sitting down so it keeps me going. Now if I can just keep myself from pushing all the bottons at once ~~~~~~

Well gotta run and finish my washing and put them away will try and visit and hope all or fine and staying warm  ~~COME ON SUMMER”

Well winter is hitting everybody hard this year , here in Texas this is going to be the coldest it has been in a 100 years , and I know the rest of you are having it bad too, back in the first part of Dec. be had a bad time one day it was snow and the next morning we had a killer frost like we haven’t had in I don’t know when in the winter I put my deck plants up under the covered part of my deck and they do fine not this time it killed everything.

Then to start the new year we were socked in with fog, I had to go into town new years eve and this is what I had to drive in.

I know that in other places it is a lot worse than here , but we are just not use to having this kind of weather in South Texas .

But hey I had a lot to be thankful for babies all seem to be doing great I have a home and heat and do not live on the streets, and as long as my power stays on I will be fine, ( Poor old “L” is out working)

 Darieus is doing great after a slow start & Rayne is growing hair her Mommy made pigtails

WOW-Weather taking a bad turn for us here in the South and I can tell ya it is not something we are use to starting tomorrow it wil start freezeing and will stay that way for three or four days so that means busted pipes frozen water and lots of other problems we are not up too. I know you that live in Northern parts gets this every year but not here , we go into shock when it gets down to 32 in the daytime  not to bad if it drops overnite as by morning it starts to warm up. So Mr. L will have to wrap water pipes outside today when he gets homes as I have left all yard work to him ( cause he smarted off at me about the way I did things so now he do it all )

I have been busy with my genealogy stuff lately tracking and posting on my family sites and getting the family to gather info it is interesting and boy are there alot of them so far I have only been able to track them back to 1760 my g-g-g-grandparents in North Carolina it gets harder the farther back you go as the census only list head of household and number of famales and males under ages, and later when the census taker came around they just put down whatever they were calling each other at the time, on my Dad’s side they were really bad about that on every census  they had a different name  for the Mom and the kids so you have to double check everything to see if you have the right people after my Dad and his twin brother were born it became easier as you could check by them most of the time one or both of then used their real names  now on my Indian side it is even harder as some of them would never admit to being Indian as they were not allowed to own property or anything and later when they could admit it most of them said ” Hell no I have spent my whole life trying to be a white man/woman and I sure as hell ain’t gonna be an Indian now” I don’t know if they were still afraid or what but inside the family it was always known you just couldn’t tell any body else, so now when someone wants to an Indian it is hard to prove who you are. its kinda funny but my Dad and his twin were the strangest set of twins you ever saw as my Dad was redheaded and blue eyed his twin was very very dark with black hair and almost black eyes so guess the split the difference after all. they got one white and one Indian  to me it makes no difference who they were Indian or White they are still mine.

Well I am outta here and will try and visit and catch up on all of you hope to find you all well and happy.

Nothing much here going on Josh was able to call home on Christmas and talk to his Wife,Mother and Brothers, he called Christmas Eve here Christmas Day there but he was fine and everybody got to say hello and they love him he only gets maybe 5 minutes of phone time and that isn’t very often but when we hear from him we know he is okay
