I love this story too – thanks for sharing it again!
That was a great story. Thanks for sharing with us.
Love the story reminds me of when we had a party line and I would ease drop on conversations…I know not nice but I was a child then. Daddy got upset that he could never get a free line to make calls so he got a private line fast and killed all my ease dropping fun. Glad they don’t have party lines anymore Wishing you a Happy Day…I’ll be happy tomorrow as I have Wednesday off from work Hee Haw. Love from us 3 Virginia Gal’s
I can remember those days!

Love the story… my grandmother was an ‘Information please” in New York City ….
That is the most beautiful story. I have a tear in my eyes. Yes, a long time ago…there were actually human beings on the other end of the phone…How nice.
I still remember calling the Cleveland Public Library reference. They had all the answers too. No matter what I called about. I still remember the number…
CH 1- 1020. Remember when the first part of a phone number was a word? You’re probably too young. CH..was Cherry.
