  • WEDNESDAY AGAIN

Not alot going on here in the woods, have been getting alittle rain so haven’t had to drag those darn water hoses around for the last few days, ( ME HAPPY ) we live on down slope or hill or whatever you want to call it , anyway my yard slants downward from the road to the lake and it doesn’t look that bad just looking at it but try walking up and down it a few times  NO FUN .

Well my marine (Josh) will be coming home next month before heading to Afghanistan and I just can’t stand to even think about him going there, I am sure every Mother, Grandmother, Wifes & Sisters of these brave young men feel the same way. He has already been to Iraq .

                                   Josh iraq     Josh marine 3

Guess all our family can do is pray to bring him back home safe to us. He tells me “Nana I am not a baby anymore I Am A Marine “  God Bless you my little Marine.but you will always be my baby.you know we look at them and we know they are grown but we still see them as our babies, Right Moms !!!!!!

Little ones have made it thur their first few days of school and no major problems YET !!!!! what worries me the most is the little ones are riding the bus for the first time , Anthony will do okay I think, last year he wanted to ride the bus real bad , his Mom told he couldn’t ride the bus as they did not live on a bus route, he said ” But Mom you can follow the bus and pick me up ” this is Jacobs first time on his own he is only four and the baby of their family his brothers are all alot older than he is so he is use to getting his way, but maybe it will be good for him , now if they just get him on the right bus .sure don’t want any missing kids.

Well thats about it for the woods, so I am off to try and visit and see what you all are up to.

                                                          HAVE A GREAT DAY

                                                 LOVE AND LIGHT-STARWOLF

  • Marine, indeed… and though Josh will be fine, I know you can’t help but worry.  I’ve had family in the military, in combat situations… Marine or otherwise, you can’t help but worry.  I get that.

Hope the lil ones all do well with the bus situation.

  • So good to see you posting again I feel for you at the lad going to war it must be so worrying for the families. We dont hear much about that i think Australia have left the other place but have them in Afghanistan. but they only tell us when someone is killed and make a fuss of bringing them back not much joy for the people who have lost loved ones though I dont know seems there are wars everywhere now and having lived through one I think I was lucky as half our town was wiped out with one bomb I wasn’t at home but up at Matt’s house as we were very young then whenI came home  the blackout was on I could feel glass crunching under the wheels i was releieved when I got to my stop walked down the Lane I lived in in trepidation all that we has was a bowing in of a small window in our front doors  several streets were demolished and I lost a lot of  girls i went to school with luckily not my best friends though it was scary i can tell you When I joined up being posted to camps which were never bombed i was also lucky Matt went to Middle east and was also lucky able to retuen and we got married then Take care Love Marj

  • Hope Josh stays safe on his tour in Afghanistan. So glad all the little ones are having a  great time with their start to school. Many years till Eddie does that but I am sure I will be a nervous wreck for the first couple of weeks. Have a great week.
